History of Mildiani
Founded in 1991 by four passionate brothers, Mildiani began by sourcing and exporting Georgia’s wine reserves. They soon built a bottling plant in Mtskheta and added a ceramic workshop that produced clay wine bottles – a post‑Soviet first for commercial packaging.
A few years later, the winery moved to Kakheti’s Tsinandali micro‑zone, equipped with top‑quality Italian machinery. There they crafted award‑winning wines, including a 2002 Saperavi that earned a silver medal at the 2004 Vinalies Internationales in Paris – the first Georgian wine to win such an award since independence.
Today, Mildiani Group owns multiple enterprises, controls its own vineyards, and produces a diverse range of high‑quality wines sold worldwide, upholding family tradition and modern standards.
